Family Photos ...

Late in July we had our pictures taken by

The photographers are a husband, wife, and 2 kids, family who travel the world taking pictures. You have to schedule them months in advance to ensure you have a spot when they breeze through your town. 

Their rates are very reasonable and they hand over digital rights to the edited pictures!

I was a little nervous as to what we'd get from this shoot but ...

now I tear up every time I browse though these BEAUTIFUL pictures of my family. 

I think BlueLily captured us PERFECTLY!

These are just a few of the shots ...

as to be expected I can't even begin to pic a favorite, 

much less select prints for our walls.

Summer Evenings ...

Della's First Splash Park!

Near my office, and near my favorite vegan lunch restaurant 

is the Georgetown Splash Park

A couple weekends ago I drug my darling daughter out of the house to go explore

We started with the very toddler friendly playground

The girl loves her steering wheels ...

... and slides.

But ... she LOVES the bigger, steeper, darker slides the BEST!

Fearless Della 

climbed right up and slid right down ... 

without her mama!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The park is conveniently located near a train turn-around 

so they pass by often and slow enough for toddlers to enjoy

Then, at exactly 11:00, the water came on!

Della's first splash park experience started off a little slow 

as she watched the water and analyzed the risks ...  

But it didn't take long before she decided to play!

Unfortunately, Della was overdue for a nap it only took one hard fall and a skinned knee to send us towards home. Hopefully we will fit in another visit before the warm weather disappears.

Another Family Zoo Trip ...

A few weekends ago, Della and I managed to convince Daddy to join us at the Zoo!

It was a perfect morning ... overcast skies kept the masses away and brought the animals out to play!

We started out with a peacock ... in the parking lot. 

Followed by our traditional stop at the sea lion bench

My little girl ... happy to be at the Zoo!

 Spotting Hefalumps (elephants for those of you not versed in Winnie-the-pooh)

And Tiggers ... only 9 months old! HUGE!

 No zoo trip is complete without a stop at the playground ... 

 This trip we focused on the slide ... Heading to the top with Daddy
