Della's Power of Observation ...

This happened as I was preparing to return to work after Huck's maternity leave back in February. 

I swear that Della saw me pump only once or twice prior. Her power of observation is a little scary!

She pulled the equipment out of my bag and set it up, actually plugging in the pump, screwing on the bottles, attaching the hose to the pump, and TURNED IT ON. Not only that but if you're familiar with the use of a breast pump you know that you first start it at top speed then reduce it ... Della did just that!!!

It was a hysterical, proud, and curious moment. 

My daughter is amazing. 

 My daughter makes me SO PROUD! She's an amazing girl. 

A moment in time with Nana ...

To help some friends raise money for an adoption I bid on a photography package on their online auction.

The actual photo shoot was an adventure as Della was much more interested in the props than sitting still for a picture but the photographer did an amazing (patient) job and captured exactly what we wanted ...

Northwest Trek Spring 2014

On a recent random Thursday, both Stark and my schedule's unexpectedly coordinated for a family day excursion. With the weather's cooperation we headed south to Northwest Trek. Although the kids are still a little young for the 40+ minute tram ride, the park trails and exhibits are perfect for running off some of Della's youthful energy.
