It's official!
We have entered the Little Boy Train phase.
Della has minimal interest in Trains.
Huck is FASCINATED!
So to support his growing fascination ... we took the family on a Train Ride!
Mt. Rainier Scenic Train
An absolute must do for a train lover age 1 - 100!
1-hour ride to the train museum, 30-min layover to explore the museum, 1-hour back.
Just enough time to wear out the kids (and parents) without sparking melt-downs!
Train Horn!!!
Watching our train pull up (and waving)!
Not our ride but a nice backdrop
Both kiddos were happy to have Nana join the adventure
What Huck did pretty much the entire ride to the museum ...
watched the scenery go by.
What Della did ...
Ate Triangle Crackers (Doritos) and snuggled with Nana and Mama.
This trip was pretty much about Huck!
Disneyland in the Fall will be all about Della.
The only improvement I could suggest is a few more trains accessible for kids to climb on and play in. There was only one open train and the line to play (and ring the bell) was long. Luckily it was the one and only thing Della recalled the conductor telling us at the beginning of the trip so once we arrived at the museum we headed out quickly to "Ring the Bell"
Goof-Ball
It's a BBQ and we probably weren't supposed to play in it.
Ice Cream break
Huck was more interested in the Trains and promptly handed
the cone back to daddy in favor of exploring more.
Getting ready to head back
This girl takes her Ice Cream seriously
No idea what she's exclaiming about.
Huck was a bit more mellow on the ride back
One pooped puppy (and mama).
I imagine we'll be doing this trip about once a year. It'll be Huck's version of Disney Land.
Huck's favorite things/words of late ...
Bulldozer
Train
Truck
Drive
Popsicle
Lollipop
Love you buddy. Glad you enjoyed the ride.
