Early in October we journeyed to California
to visit Mickey Mouse and all his friends.
This time we brought Nana along!

Once settled in for the night I surprised Della with an Ariel costume.
We had plans to attend the Disneyland Halloween Party one evening and
this girl had been saying for MONTHS that she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween.
The costume is also a swim suit and yes she did try it out in the pool.
Did pretty good for a brand new mermaid who really can't swim yet.

This year we rented a vacation condo across the street and took the tram each day.
We really, really enjoyed the extra space, the pool, and getting away from the crowds each evening.
Immediately through the gate Della spotted Belle so we quickly detoured to the closest shop,
picked up her 2015 autograph book, and waited in line for a bit until
BELLE!
The sweetest princess of them all!
Della was telling Belle all about her plans to see all the princesses!
Then we hurried to catch up to Dad, Huck and Nana who were just finishing a tea cup ride.
This is Della pointing out Huck who watched us spin.
Darn that girl likes to spin!
This trip was all about the funny faces ... all her own idea.
Every time I'd try to take a picture I'd get something like this ...
or a princess pose. Funny girl.
Who doesn't love going 'under the sea'?
Della was tall enough for Goofy's Sky School. We went on it 3 times in a row.
Goodness that's a crazy roller coaster.
Goofy really doesn't know how to fly.
We let Nan push the kids around while Stark took me on the
California Screamin roller coaster for the first time.
Pretty awesome if you can't tell by my expression.

He really enjoyed Radiator Springs ... no surprise there.
Della got her face painted for the very first time.
She picked out a pretty pink unicorn.
BEAUTIFUL!
And then dad took her on Splash Mountain.
She came back looking like a drowned rat with pink paint running down her face.
Daddy still owes her another paint job.
She asked to go on splash mountain as she'd enjoyed it last year
although last year she wasn't in the front of the log
she didn't ask to go down it again.
*Traumatized*
We tried to launch ourselves into space.
Della met her fairy godmother.
And Mickey Mouse!
We couldn't find him last year!
Huck met Pluto. He such a serious boy!
But brave enough to check out new things!
Huck gave Pluto a goodbye kiss.
For the Halloween Celebration Stark & I left Huck with Nana and headed out on a Della Date!
First stop was a meet and greet with the Princesses!
Ariel ... meet ... Ariel.
The characters at Disneyland continue to impress me.
So wonderful with the kids.
How did we get so lucky.

We also ran into Captain America!
I think she was telling him all about meeting the princesses.
she has no idea who Captain America is.
The cost of the additional Halloween tickets was well worth it and I Highly recommend.
Less crowds and the entire park was open so we were able to ride on rides
we'd not normally attempt due to long lines.
For the record Della was not impressed by Space Mountain
and still talks about the scary bear in the mountain.
On our last day we met Thor!
Who was amazingly sweet with 'little man' Huck.
He may look serious but Huck was enormously pleased to hold the hammer
Moments after arriving home our life returned to normal.
This trip to Disneyland was not as rewarding as the previous year
and we feel that the Diamond Jubilee Celebration was the cause.
So many more people in attendance.
Our salvation was the rental condo, boxed wine, and the HUGE pools
where Della worked hard on her swimming and Huck worked hard at floating in his wings.
