Sunday at the (Pebble) Beach

A couple weekends ago we took little miss Della to West Alki beach. As it turns out we hit a really, really, low tide and there were tons of little kids (and parents) out exploring the exposed sea life. It was a beautiful day and Della really enjoyed the excursion. She was especially fascinated by the endless pebbles as shes at the stage where walking is so much easier with a pebble, or three,  in each hand.

Scouting the beach while having a picnic in the car ...

Heading out to the beach ...

Pebbles!!! Lots of Pebbles!

Starting her collection of pebbles .. a few carefully chosen ones in each hand ...

Life in the Puget Sound ...

Happy to be outside ...

Barnacles ... (note the hat made it about 15 minutes)

Hot footing it ...

She was really pissed I wouldn't let her continue into the water ...

My loves ...

Seashell on the seashore ...

Walking back to the car ... How cute are they?

End to a perfect afternoon ...

My baby is growing so quickly ... what an independent, observant, and opinionated girl ... we are enjoying watching her grow into herself.
So lucky to be the mama of this little girl.
