7 months or 7 years ... a Ramble.

This morning I was scouring through my picture archive looking for potential office wall art. I'm attempting to come to terms with my probably permanent office bound future. Having spent the first 6 years of my career working in the field (construction projects) the transition to full-time estimator does at times feel like a black hole. That said, I am pleased that my company is willing to accommodate my new mommyhood schedule demands and if that requires working in an office for the next X years, with a 10 minute commute, then I really have nothing to complain about.

Back to pictures ... Costco is having a sale on canvas prints so I was looking for photos suitable for my office walls and I found myself having a mommy moment.   By mommy moment mean an overly sentimental, nearly tearing up, want to go home and cuddle my baby moment. At 7+ months old Della is independent, outspoken, and generally growing way to fast. The pictures I was pursuing brought back happy memories (the hours of crying, colicky, baby are getting fuzzier every day) of lazy days in bed snuggling my teeny tiny baby. She was soooo small and she loved to fall asleep in my lap. Now she is sooo big and wants nothing to do with my lap aside from using it as a jungle gym. But I have my pictures and my memories to keep me company while this ever growing little girl states her independence and crawls away from me.

These won't make it to my office wall but they do represent some of my favorite pics of Della's first weeks.
